It's Tuesday at 2:00pm! (PST Time: I live and work from Southern California)
All of our past posts have been placed HERE if you want to go back and read one.
It's January 28th, ALREADY?
I feel like the year just started, and here we are, winding up January in just a few days.
We've been talking about priorities and getting things done this month.
Did you know...
- That 80 percent of peoples New Years Resolutions fail by February? (US News & World Report)
- January 12th is the day most people "ditch" their resolutions. (We passed that day over 2 weeks ago)
- Only 9.2 percent of people keep their resolutions throughout the year
A RESOLUTION is defined as "a firm decision to do or not to do something". In leadership, we call this a GOAL. We focus more on the aspect of "aiming for something for a desired result".
This past week I spent some time doing a LifePlan with a Global Leader. At the end of 2 days of pretty intense facilitating and processing, we get to a point where we ask and answer the question: "Based on all of this information, WHAT IS IMPORTANT NOW?"
This is really the result of these days processing, and it's turning this into action, moving towards a desired outcome.
I know it's the 28th, but it's not too late.
Think about your GOALS or your RESOLUTIONS.
Why did you choose them in the first place?
Why did you forget about them or lose interest in them?
Ask yourself today, "what's important now"?
Pick up those goals, desires, resolutions, dreams, and move forward. It's not too late... It's NEVER too late!
Watch this clip to be reminded what a SMART GOAL is:
"A goal is a dream with a deadline." Napoleon Hill
"Set your goals. Make your plans. Chase your dreams."
"Ask yourself if what you are doing today is getting you closer to where you want to be tomorrow."
