It's Tuesday at 2:00pm! (PST Time: I live and work from Southern California)
Currently, I'm exploring different leadership quotes on this blog post, and pulling out some application for all of us. This is part of my personal journey to keep growing, learning and being stretched! Join me each Tuesday at 2:00pm (PST). It will take you just a few minutes to read through the 2 sections of this post, but don't miss the final section where I share some of the things I'm reading, listening to and enjoying this week.

LEADERSHIP QUOTE:
"Humans are not driven by the past, we're pulled forward by the future we're most committed to." Dr. Benjamin Hardy
What does this stir up? Either write me HERE or comment at the end of the blog post HERE.
A LITTLE BIT DEEPER:
I heard someone speak about vision this past week and he did a great job of framing the timeline of vision by looking at where they had come from, and painting a compelling vision of where they were going.
This quote from Dr. Benjamin Hardy reminds us that we are PULLED FORWARD by the vision that we are working towards.
Have you ever been PULLED by something or the idea of something?
In LifePlanning, there is a tool where we stop what we're doing and we create an image of what life will be like in 10 years. I have clients write simple descriptive statements about what they will be doing in 10 years in different domains of their life.
We're creating a picture of the future, of the future we are being called to, the future we are wanting to create.
Paint yourself a picture. Choose one domain: Personal, Family, Vocation, Community or Faith: What will this look like in your life in 10 years? What do you see?
DEEPER STILL:
I love the story of Jesus as told in Mark 1 as he calls Simon and Andrew to follow him. They were fishermen, and Jesus said to them,
"Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men."
He paints them a picture of a new life, a new future, a new call. Vs. 18 of chapter 1 continues by saying, "...and immediately they left their nets and followed him."
They were PULLED to something so much bigger than they had ever imagined.
What is God PULLING you to? Are you going or are you resisting?
Sometimes we resist that PULL because...
We're happy being where we are
It's safe where we are
We're familiar and content with where we are
An unknown future is scary and risky
Don't get stuck in the past. You'll miss out on some incredible things God wants to PULL you towards.
"Lord, show me today where you are taking me, and help me to go willingly, expectantly and fully!"
Things I'm Reading, Listening To and Watching This Week:
I just started reading this book from John Eldredge, Resilient. My mom recommended it, so I'm taking her recommendation! John Eldredge Wild At Heart Pages.
We were thrilled to attend an event for Angels for Higher, an organization that is committed to placing individuals with Down Syndrome as employed greeters at sports facilities across the country. What an inspirational story, dream and impact. Check out their Trevors journey and the vision the Hendershots have.
I've heard from 3 different friends that they've been listening to Matthew McConaughey's audible, Greenlights. I listened to it last year, but I'm listening to it again. There are some really good nuggets in this story.
When I found my license plate dangling off the back of my truck, I didn't realize that for a few bucks I could get some new screws and washers to secure it. Check your license plate holder!
