LEADERSHIP QUOTES
We're exploring some great quotes that will help us in our lives and leadership. If you'd like to share your favorite with me, please post on the comments section of the Blog. You can read these past posts HERE.
The format for this season is the following:
#1) LEADERSHIP QUOTE: I'm going to share a quote with you. I'd like to encourage you to think about it, respond to it, process it. You can stop here, or go to Section 2.
#2) A LITTLE BIT DEEPER: I'm going to share a couple of thoughts that come to my mind when I think about the quote. Just a short reaction from me. You can stop here, or go to Section 3.
#3) DEEPER STILL: I'm going to share something I've found from someone else: A quote, some tips, a challenge, a thought....
#4) RUSS' LIST: I'll continue to share some links, ideas, books or products that I think some of you might benefit from.

LEADERSHIP QUOTE:
"What kind of competitor see's the finish line and slows down... always finish strong." Gary Ryan Blair
What does this stir up? Either write me HERE or comment at the end of the blog post HERE.
A LITTLE BIT DEEPER:
I write this note to you today because this morning, as I looked at my calendar, I realized that there are some things that I haven't gotten done this year that I'd really like to accomplish.
It would be easy to simply push them off, ignore them, and move on.
You may be feeling what I'm feeling: I'm tired, I've been running pretty hard, it's been a challenging year, and I'm looking ahead at a fresh start.
I saw the quote above the other day, and have been thinking about it over the past few days. Here's the choice I need to make today:
Do I finish this year to the best of my ability, or do I coast into the year-end and look forward at a new start?
Today, how would you answer that? Are you a finisher? Do you want to finish strong? Would you rather coast through the next 6 weeks of 2021 and begin thinking about 2022?
DEEPER STILL:
Our pastor is taking us through the book of Philippians, and recently the passage came up from Philippians 3. This is what it says in the Message translation:
"I'm not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made...but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward - to Jesus. I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back. So let's keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us."
Read the full passage in Philippians 3:12-16.
Did you see that line: "God is beckoning us onward" and then Paul goes on to say at the end of the passage, "God will clear your blurred vision - you'll see it yet! Now that we're on the right track, let's stay on it."
I want to finish strong. I need to determine what God is calling me and "beckoning me" to do, but I don't want to coast through the next weeks.
I don't know how this note finds you today, but I encourage you to finish strong. Figure out what God wants from you, and pursue it with everything you've got. My prayer is that your blurred vision will clear, and you'll see exactly what you need to pursue during this season!
Things I'm Reading, Listening To and Watching This Week:
I found the Dave Crowder Band Essentials Playlist on Apple this week. Really good music that stirs up a lot in my heart!
My Dad, Ron Cline, wrote a short book entitled, "Finishing Well". It's his story and tells his journey and his desire to finish well.
I started listening to this book by Joe Coulombe called, "Becoming Trader Joe: How I Did Business My Way and Still Beat the Big Guys." It's a great story, but my friend John Pearson really breaks it down in his blog from November 11th. You can read it HERE.
Gina has discovered Four Sigmatic Mushroom Ground Coffee. There are all kinds of health benefits, and it tastes great.
I put these in my eyes multiple times a day. Systane Eye Drops. Trying to take care of my eyes the best I can!
